Here is a view of the Great Bike I ride @ Lake
Tahoe in 04 & a picture of it now in 07 The Photo below is
the new Bike I bought from Guy's Outdoor Store in Lewiston
Id. 2 weeks before our accident.

|
| I just had to show my
Victory again. This was taken at our sons house in West Salem when we
were on one of our trips. We purchased in 04 and as of last summer
we have logged over 46000 on it. We have taken 2 trips to
Colorado. 3 to Nevada about 6 to the Sun Valley Idaho and bunches around
Oregon. We stay off the interstates as much as possible. Last year
when we went to Durango Co. to the Victory rally we put over 1500 miles
on back roads and had a ball doing it. We left the store and
turned left and went over the hill the back way to Idaho, into Wyoming,
Utah, and into Colorado and never hit a freeway. Now that is what
I call having fun. We went to see Wild Hogs and now my wife is
putting the pressure on me getting the bike out of the paint shop.
My friend Gene Sutton of Mountain View Paints is doing the painting so
when it is finished I will post a photo of it. |

Some of the fine roads that we have
here in the Starkey area.
Riding
out of Wallowa on our way to Lostine, Enterprise, Joseph, then into
Hells Canyon. That's the nice thing about living here where we
have 1000's of miles to explore and see what N.E. Oregon has to offer
the bikers. Below we make a stop in Joseph for some refreshments
and fuel before heading into the Hells Canyon area.

The
overlook at Hells canyon is a good place to take a break and enjoy
the scenery. The ride here is not for the beginner and it takes
its toll on the riders who are not with the game plan of riding
mountain roads.
Just one of the views at the overlook at Hells Canyon.
From here we will leave and head down to the Snake River and get more
refreshments and fuel for the bikes with the smaller tanks. I'm glad my
Victory has a 5 gal. tank.
Halfway
is a good place to get some grub, drink, and fuel if you didn't do it
while in Hells Canyon. I hope you are noticing all the blue sky we
have here in N.E. Oregon.

One of the things you have to watch out for while
ridding the roads around here are the animals that seem to just stare in
amazement at you as you ride by. That is if they decide to get out
of your way. This last year there has been an elk and 2 deer that
I know of that has paid the price. That is 1 crotch rocket rider
while rounding a corner found one of the deer and a couple on a
Harley Springer took on the elk and they ended up in the hospital.
I got one of the deer, but I was able to maintain control of the bike,
but it did do some damage to the front end. Seeing that I was only
8 miles for home I was able to cripple home. I look at it like
this gives me a reason to repaint my bike.
